Why Fish Count Is Misleading
Ten fingerlings and ten full-grown adults are wildly different loads on the same pond. Stocking plans need to account for what fish will weigh once grown, not their size at purchase.

Stocking density limits depend on filtration and aeration as much as pond size, so two identical-sized ponds can have very different safe limits.
