What It Looks Like
Cotton-like white or grey growth on a fish’s skin, fins, or eyes, most visible where the protective slime coat has already been damaged.
Why It Happens
Fungus is usually opportunistic, taking hold at an existing wound, poor water quality, or after stress has already weakened a fish, rather than attacking healthy fish outright. Addressing the underlying cause matters as much as treating the visible fungus.
