Types
Most backyard ponds use EPDM rubber or PVC/HDPE liners. EPDM is more flexible and puncture-resistant; PVC is cheaper but generally shorter-lived in direct sun.
What Actually Matters When Choosing One
Thickness (measured in mil) and UV resistance matter more than brand name. A liner buried under rock and soil can be thinner than one left exposed to sunlight.
